Imagine a guy who came all the way from Qatar and brought money back home and paid taxes just for the love of cricket.
Meet Fawad Rana the proud owner of Lahore Qalendars team competing in Pakistan Super League.Rana Fawad holds the seat of Managing Director at QALCO (Qatar Oil Company Ltd.).
Rana Fawad’s net worth is estimated at whooping twenty-four million Dollars and ($24000000) has tremendously increased after achieving a celebrity status on mainstream media.
Upon the announcement of Pakistan Super League, Rana Fawad was one of the first few businessmen, who agreed to finance a team.
Due to Rana Fawad’s personal love and devotion towards cricket and his city (Lahore) he came to Pakistan and purchased and registered Lahore Qalendars as his team.
Rana Fawad financed a handsome amount for buying International and National players for his team Lahore Qalendars.
He also played a vital role for the betterment of cricket in Punjab by organizing a large-scale talent hunt program in which players from all over Punjab rural and urban areas competed.
Afterwards, he sent the selected players to Australia in order to get training from the Australian domestic cricket franchise, the Sydney Thunders.
